Brenda Stoebner Stermer and I had been friends from the 6th grade until she passed away with cancer. I was fortunate to be able to visit with her when I would go to Temple, TX to visit my sister, Rita, and we would catch up. I spoke to her on the phone several weeks before she passed away and she was in good spirits and said she had made peace with God so when he was ready to take her home she was ready. It was so hard to not cry on the phone but I waited until I told her I loved her and hung up the phone. Joan Schiller, Brenda Stoebner and myself were called the "Three Musketeers" by everyone throughout Middle School and High School because when you saw one of us you saw all three of us. Brenda is in Heaven with her granddaughter and her Dad that were called home before her. I am blessed to still be friends and stay in contact with Joan Schiller Shelton. Love, Dorothy Pinkham Livingston
